Of all the reasons people roll out a yoga mat, stress relief is one of the biggest.
We aren’t really taught how to manage stress growing up—at least I wasn’t. We’re told to work hard, keep working hard forever, and somehow everything will work out in the end.
It’s wild, really. From exams and part-time jobs to university, careers, moving house, parenting, and maintaining relationships—we’re encouraged to give 110% at all times. No wonder so many of us have no idea how to switch off. No idea how to breathe.
Some people come to yoga because they’ve heard it can help. Others stumble upon it by accident (I’m one of those people!), and when they do, they’re often amazed at how quickly it helps them feel calmer, more relaxed, and able to sleep better than they have in months.
I’ve heard it time and time again—from friends, students, and family members alike. A regular yoga practice can make such a difference: feeling more balanced at work, less flustered by small things, less reactive when life gets tricky, and drifting off into deeper, more restful sleep. Even after just one session.
Relax your jaw. Release your stress.
People come to yoga at every stage of life: burnt out at 25, anxious at 40, seeking balance at 60, or discovering new ways to nurture themselves at 70. There’s no age limit on yoga—and no expiry date on learning how to relieve stress. I’d like to also extend this practice to teens, who are already navigating the intense pressures of school, social media, and growing up in a world that never stops moving. Yoga truly is for everyone.
Of course, not every class is for every body—that’s why I offer a range of options:
-
Accessible Yoga: Perfect for those with limited mobility. Chair options and gentle movement challenges make this class welcoming and inclusive. And of course, we breathe.
-
Vinyasa Flow: Playful and energising! Expect rolling, stretching, and moving your body in new and surprising ways. You’ll challenge your body and your brain—and probably laugh a little too. Yoga can be wonderfully silly. And we breathe.
-
Yin Yoga: A slower, more meditative practice. We melt into stillness, gently stretching and releasing deep connective tissues to restore both body and mind. And again, we breathe.

Breath is the thread that weaves all yoga practices together. From a physiological point of view, it’s the quickest and most effective way to regulate the nervous system. Most of what I teach focuses on slow, restorative breathing—gentle, elegant, soothing breaths that bring calm and healing. I’ve seen people transform right before my eyes—sometimes in just a single session.
The truth is, we’re never really taught how to breathe deeply. But we can learn.
Come and practice with me. Each week, we explore new breathing techniques and reinforce the ones we already know, building skills that ripple through every part of life.
Breathe with me for just five minutes—and feel the difference for yourself.
